Overview
Details

In Torbudalen / Aursjøtraktene are recorded tracks of people who are about 10,000 years old, the southernmost same-settlement is found here. The area has always been used for hunting and fishing.
Summer farming in Torbudalen is however not so old. It got started about 1840. Most farms were closed down as a result of the damming of Osvatnet in 1954. Torbuvollen was rebuilt in 1977 and in 2001 the owner started up  with cows and goats and processing of all the milk on the summerfarm.
Butter and sour cream, brown and white cheese sold from the farm. You can also buy coffee and waffles. If you make an appointment the Seter can provide warm meal and guided cultural walk in the area.
There is road access until the farm.
The owner of the farm is heavily involved in driving sustainable agriculture and preserve traditions such as the diversity of breeds in Norway. He is pushing both nationally and internationally.
In addition to retail at the farm in summer sold Torbuvollen products at the farmers market in towns in Mid - Norway.
