Bergen orgelsommer - Bergen International Organ Festival - Mariko Takei in St. John's Church (Johanneskirken)

St. John's Church, normally the most visible church in Bergen, Johanneskirken is currently hidden behind scaffolding as it undergoes restoration. Inside, however, its splendour remains intact. Consecrated in 1894, the church houses a historic organ by Schlag & Söhne, restored in 1999 and cherished by organists for German Romantic repertoire.

Mariko Takei is a native of Japan and has been based in Bergen for nearly three decades. She serves as Cantor of Johanneskirken in Bergen and maintains an active international concert career, presenting a diverse and wide-ranging repertoire. Further program details will be announced at a later date.
