Skidåkning är kanske det första man förknippar med Norge, men det finns mycket annat att hitta på i snön.

Det är ingen hemlighet att Norge har ett speciellt förhållande till skidåkning. Men man behöver inte vara skidfantast för att uppskatta ett besök på vintern – den som gillar snö och friluftsliv har massor att göra även utan skidor på fötterna.

Här är sex roliga alternativ till dig som ska till Norge i vinter.

  1. Vinteräventyr med våra fyrbenta vänner

  2. Följ med på hundspannstur och lär känna ett gäng huskies, som mer än gärna tar dig på en resa genom Norges vackra vinterlandskap. Vare sig du väljer att luta dig tillbaka som passagerare på en endagstur eller om du hellre styr ditt eget hundspann över flera dagar, kan du förvänta dig ditt livs upplevelse.

    En hundspannstur är också ett roligt sätt att uppleva det starka bandet mellan människa och hund. På många ställen får du chansen att ta hand om och mata hundarna, vilket såklart uppskattas av alla hundälskare. Nedan hittar du några av de populäraste hundspannsturerna på TripAdvisor.

  3. Barnsligt kul i backen

  4. Att åka kälke är lika kul för vuxna som för barn, det är det ingen tvekan om. Och det finns massor av varianter att välja på, från vanliga pulkor till rodel, så du lär hitta något som passar dig.

    Många norska skidorter har särskilda banor för kälkar, och de är plogade till perfektion. Är du redo att susa nerför backarna?

  5. Lunka lugnt med snöskor

    Hur känns det att gå på moln? Svårt att veta, men med ett par snöskor på fötterna får du kanske en god uppfattning. Det spelar ingen roll hur djup snön – snöskovandring är nästan som att sväva fram genom vinterlandskapet.

    Följ med på en guidad tur och upplev den friska vinterluften, snötäckta träd och höga berg.

    Man blir lätt förtrollad av det vackra landskapet, men glöm inte att stanna upp ibland och ta en välförtjänad fika. I Norge går vinterutflykter hand i hand med apelsiner, kexchoklad och en termos med varm dryck.

  6. Nappa på isfiske i Norge

  7. Otaliga sjöar och älvar samt den långa kusten ger utmärkta möjligheter att få en baddare på kroken. Under vintern är det is på de flesta sjöar och fjordar, men det är ingen anledning att låta bli att fiska, tvärtom.

    Borra hål i isen och släng i linan, och sen är det bara att vänta. Inget slår spänningen när man väntar på att en firre ska hugga till.

    Kom bara ihåg att ta det försiktigt. Lyssna på din guide och håll dig borta från isen om du inte är helt säker på att den håller.

  8. Åk på en mysig slädtur

  9. Kryp ner under en fårskinnspläd i en hästdragen släde och åk sakta fram genom en idyllisk norsk by. Hästens hovar slår rytmiskt mot backen och slädens bjällror klingar klart. Kan det bli mysigare än så?

    Man kan åka på slädtur i många delar av landet, och om du åker till Nord-Norge kan du till och med få chansen att dras över Finnmarks vita slätter av renar. Det är både en kul upplevelse och ett sätt att få en inblick i hur livet var på den gamla goda tiden, när hästar och renar var våra mest trofasta tjänare.

  10. Ut på isen

  11. Skridskoåkning är populärt i Norge, och flera världsmästare har burit den norska flaggan. Men skridskor handlar framför allt om att ha roligt, så det spelar ingen roll om du är elegant som Sonja Henie, snabb som Johan Olav Koss, eller är den som trillar stup i kvarten. Det finns skridskobanor i nästan alla norska städer.

    Man kan såklart även åka på frusna sjöar, älvar och fjordar. Men ta säkerheten på allvar, och ta alltid reda på att isen är säker innan du ger dig ut: Fråga lokalbefolkningen och läs aktuell information på anslagstavlor. Den som är riktigt rutinerad kan kontrollera tjockleken genom att borra hål i isen.

    Skridskor brukar finnas att hyra på de flesta bemannade skridskobanor, men för övrigt gäller det att ta med sina egna skrillor.

Väder och vind

På vintern är Norges medeltemperatur -6,8 °C, men väderförhållandena varierar en hel del. I och runt Oslo snöar det ofta, och medeltemperaturen ligger strax under noll. 

Regionerna Finnmark, Troms, Trøndelag och Østlandet har inlandsklimat med riktigt kalla vintrar och massor av snö. De inre delarna av Nord-Norge har ett typiskt arktiskt klimat med snö, kraftiga vindar och svår frost.

Fjord Norge och Sørlandet har betydligt mildare klimat, men det blir ofta snö och kallt ändå. Det innebär bra möjligheter till skidåkning, särskilt i bergen.

Kläder efter väder

Klä dig extra varmt och i lager om du ska till norra Norge eller till en av landets fjälltrakter. Ull är bättre än bomull och polyester, och ta med vatten- och vindtäta kläder.

Kom ihåg att vinden gör att det känns betydligt kallare än det faktiskt är. Om du blir våt gäller det att vara förberedd för att undvika hypotermi och förfrysningsskador.
